mercs are good cars. i got a 99 mystique (ford contour/mondeo). i love my car exept for the fact its a ford. but still, its 150 thousand miles and starts up every time. and as long as im movin, and in a decent car, im good. V6 on mine as well. i believe the cougar and the V6 mystique have the same engine. if im not mistaken, its a 2.5L V6 DOHC. only difference is car weight. 4 door sedan versus a 2 door coupe. id rather have the cougar. they look nice, you can do alot with them, too.

I like these cars a lot, but I don't understand why they sell for dirt cheap, they're not slow or ugly...Anyways, I bought a mitsubishi eclipse instead, love it to bits.
