This was a 41-yard one-handed catch by Keith Jackson against Nebraska on a cold November night in Lincoln in 1986. It set up a game-winning field goal giving OU an Orange Bowl berth.
@BadLeaders Shoot??? Best Player on Offense??? OU was loaded in 86'. If it wasn't Jackson, it was Tillman, or Stafford, or Collins, or Holieway, or Cabbiness, or Shepard, or MItchell, or... ect. It seems that whatever choice Neb made there was a blue chipper in a white shirt that could have and, most likely would have, made a play. I'm sure Neb was just as equipped, which is why these OU vs. Neb games were so awesome during this era.
I still blame Lou Holtz for snobbing Jackson the way he did when he was the coach at Arkansas. Jackson was from Little Rock and Holtz refused to go inside Jackson's house for a visit because Jackson was poor and lived in a shack. That ruined Arkansas' chance of getting Jackson.
I was at this game. End zone seats on the far end, couldn't see a damn thing on this play

OU not only had better players back then, but they also had the best coaches. How many times was Osborne just plain out-coached by Switzer?

@BadLeaders I forgot Lydell Carr at fullback for another OU Playmaker. Man, I miss those days.

I am also glad that Jackson still had an outstanding career at Oklahoma.

But I am still glad that Jackson later approved his son Keith Jackson, jr to go to school at Arkansas.
