Example WWV GPS Report received on Ten-Tec T1253 WWV, Fort Collins, Colorado, uses double sideband amplitude modulation and radiates 10 kW on the received frequency of 10MHz.
The time announcements and station identification are very clear (see other recordings). The other WWV voice messages are of varying quality. This is an example of the GPS (Global Positioning Service) Report.
The GPS Report is somewhat difficult to understand. The example Geoalert (see other recording) at 18 minutes past the hour was slightly more intelligible. The Storm Information at 8, 9 and 10 minutes after the hour was by far the most difficult to understand (see other recording).
The receiver is a Ten-Tec T1253 regenerative. The receiving antenna is a multi-conductor/ 9-band L-configuration dipole fed at ground level with a common coax transmission line. Receiving station located in Plainfield, Illinois.
