They got the legends from the past and revived them with clones. But to improve them, they got minmei genes mixed with the others, so they would have better artistic skills.

Oi CUNT FACE that fact you've taken Macross Frontier and at the end of the video it says "Macross F". You've re-labelled it Robotech it's slander and mis-representation! Harmony Gold don't never owned othe rights to Macross shows because Studio West are legally the owners through a court decision in Japan.

Tasunoko Productions only SUB LEASED the first MACROSS series to Harmony Gold. Sub lease you are entitle to use it, not own the rights. Ha ha ha Harmony Gold fucked up and losed!

There's a reason why Macross has continued to garner new audiences, while RT has become a distant memory; That's because Macross was better handled compared to what HG is doing with RT. Also consider that most of the Robotech fans consider the Macross Saga as the best part of Robotech. Imagine Robotech without the Macross Saga, that would be a very shitty show.
