saturday March 7th at the train station, Main st. Vancouver a silent disco type Flash mob occurred. After I was tired of dancing I pulled out my phone and captured some of the dancers, well until the security guard kicked us out. it was a fun time people, more fun in public spaces!

I think we should battle terrorist with public fun!! Not j/k. Think about it - would you rather be holed up in some cold, dank cave, eating cold canned beans and planning to blow yourself up - or dancing & having fun with other happy, friendly people!? Yay for fun!!!

@stickygreen666 Well, that explains it. Thanks for letting me know. As I said, I really do like the "flash" idea - I think it's pure genius, and it makes so many people happy for just a few minutes.

I love the "flash concert" concept in general - I love the impromptu concerts, the surprised, pleased looks on the onlookers' faces .... but this one, I just don't get. The "music" is monotonous and the "dancing" is just awful. From the lack of onlooker enthusiasm, I gather the folks who witnessed this event weren't too impressed either.

the music in the video was not actually playing at the Flash Mob, It was a silent disco, everyone was wearing headphones, and listening to there own choice of music, via an MP3 player. The video was very boring without any music, so I added a youtube sound track, seemed to make it a bit more entertaining....
