  • This Meade Parabolic Reflector has Secondary Mirror Spiders that are Way too Thick,I see a solid 5mm. Thickness, Excessively to thick,Directly Interferes, Softens the Light Path,Decreases Diffraction Limited Dawe's Resolutions Severely in Any Parabolic Reflector. The the Correct Thickness of a Parabolic Mirror, Secondary Mirror Spiders MUST be a Minimum of 0.005 of an Inch or 0.5mm. Maximum Spider Thickness to NOT interfere with Parabolic Reflector Resolutions. The Best Reflectors are SkyWatchers!

  • I have a meade ds2000 is it a piece of shit? Will i be able to see anything?

  • @123alfaman I decided to skip the electronic and throw all my money at distance and quality when I bought one from them. I love it. I also got a nice telextender/barlow and it is fabulous for deep space. I am glad I bought that first before deciding on additional eyepieces. Then it's all about lenses/eyepieces and tweaking for what you want in particular. I will admit I haven't done any imaging with it yet so I can't speak to that aspect., but I am going to try a few concepts on YT.

  • can I see aliens doing it doggy style with this tele?

  • These meade scopes are awful in my experience.... The motors sound like vacuum cleaners at high slewing speed and old dot matrix printers at sidereal speed... The tripods on these cheaper meade scopes are poor and why do companies insist on using long exposure astrophotography images to mimick what you actually see in your eyepiece?? You dont see images with that much colour in scopes costing 10 times as much as this one. Avoid these scopes if you dont want to be disappointed.

  • @Ozzrya91 thanks.

  • @Ozzrya91 oh trust me i know.. i dont even own this scope as a mater of fact i work at the mcdonalds observatory in texas trust me man its the BIG scope i know more than ya think.. :)
