  • why does jaws say the crash worrd? I mean, seriously! jaws should have kept quiet while nvda says his own crash word

  • And what word is that lol

  • Ooh, that was hilarious! Sorry to break it to you though, but I, too, am a Jaws fan, although I admit it's too expensive.

  • no probs, the Eloquence synth wasn't even done by JAWS, it was using Supernova :)

  • I am glad n v d a won. F S is charging to much for jaws. If F S hears this video they will go nuts and be mad as heck.

  • :) maybe someone should tell them ans see what happens lol

  • To be honest, I recently switched to nvda and uninstalled jaws after their latest release, not that I care, but the speed is incredible. The only thing I love about jaws is that it has a better way of handling animation and dialogues with constantly changing text. If within a large document or flashing animated adds, you cannot navigate it all that well if at all with nvda.

  • On a side note, i'd love to see NVDA with a Speech and Sounds Manager like Jaws has;

    Just to see the look on one or two faces of a few people at Freedom Scientific…

  • I'm not going to write this word the right way for one reason; it will crash ETI Eloquence for Jaws:

    web hes day

    Imagine it with the white space taken out;

    That's your offender in this video;

    Besides, NVDA handles FireFox a lot better than Jaws ever will.

    Not to mention the "About:Config" screen of some 3000 entries?

    We'll just say that Jaws does not handle very large tables that well at all…

  • @TimeLife04

    if you are jaws user forever. so let me ask you a question...

    are you blind?

    because i am blind, and i using jaws, and i want to change that screen reader now!!!!

    i don't know, how can you love jaws.

  • @sourcemind

    i am completely agree...

    i am jaws user, i have no seen, but i tried NVDA on my friend's computer, it's great

  • my ribs killing from laughter; I'll have to try that bug out!

  • Yeah! I don't think blind people should have to pay to read what's on the screen. For goodness sake! Sighted people can do it for free!

  • NVDA is the best program ever!

  • OK I'm a mac user and run a charity called free macs for the blind here in the UK and I've worked with both mac and PC all my life. JAWS is like the new supernova and windoweyes. extremely expensive. what a joke. For a guy like me, I can't cover costs like that. why can't these developers stop charging stupid money for a CD for heavens sake.

  • I am a fan of both, and Shaun made an eloquence driver for NVDA.
