i think so too, with the possible exception of the 2001-2002 leafs. the 99 leafs had an untouchable first line with sundin, thomas and berezin. in 2002, the leafs had another great first line with sundin, mogilny and roberts. they made it to the conference final again. 2002 was particularily impressive because they made it that far even though they were severely decimated by injuries (sundin, mogilny, kaberle, tucker, renberg. and corson was suspended for the "kicking motion" incident in n.y.)

Actually That was Dryden i think not quinn and another thing, toronto's board of directors have been making stupid moves like this and the gm pretty much had to do what they said. But since brian burke is President and GM he has total control of where people go

i think they were good until they made ferguson the gm. pat quinn brought them out of the eastern conference basement after the 1997-1998 season and led them to the eastern conference quarter final the next year. he brought curtis joseph to the leafs, who was a huge part of their playoff runs in '99 and again in '03. to say that pat quinn destroyed the team as gm is wrong.

leafs were destroyed ever since they made quinn GM. All the young talent of 1999 is gone. Just to name a few... Berezin, Johnson, Sullivan, Modin, Bohonos... I just dunno whats up with the Leafs management

guys like berezin thomas perrault jason smith sullivan should have never been let go, look at smith now, two captains in two different teams, and sullivan is the best player in nashville when healthy
