This is the 7th of 10 videos about our charity work at Berur Street Care International in Kenya (December 2010). It is the first part of a two-part informational video and highlights one of the gluesniffing areas in Eldoret where the staff at Berur Street Care International find street children and offer them and their parents rehabilitation, residence, food, education and a better life. It was a real honour to be taken to these slum areas to meet the glue sniffing parents of some of the children I had been entertaining through the week. Many of these guys have scars everywhere (unfortunately, like their children too). Criminality through the nights is normal and they are often targeted and beaten over nothing. The glue seems to be an 'escape' from the life they live. Unfortunately, some of the mothers also share glue with toddlers and children. The children are exposed on a daily basis to violence, glue, pathogens and harmful bacteria from the garbage tip and the river.

Poor kids, DON'T HAVE KIDS IF YOU CAN'T TAKE CARE OF THEM; or you sentance someone to a life of sheer pain. Trust me mental pain and loneliness is alot worse than breaking a bone. The pain just persists hour after hour to the point you want to die!

@FieldMarshalRommel23 - thanks for the comment... it's so often that adults make mistakes and children have to suffer for it....

@shantanou Yeah I know man, we should sterilised people who will put their children trough a life of pain!

@FieldMarshalRommel23 - i've been asked to rehabilitate some of the parents through the medium of martial arts... i think i'm gonna give that a shot but it's gonna take some time to sort out a stable method... either way, whether it is possible or not.... i'll always be working to help the children - that will never stop :)
