no offense, but I think Nanking was one of the worst things that Japanese army have ever done. My hometown, nearby the birthplace of Confucius, was once occupied by Japanese army. I remember the aged told me that there was a terrible bacteriological warfare took place and a lot people (not soldiers, no Chinese army in Japanese occupied area) were poisoned and died.
