@yuro1769172 , dude who are you trying to kid? lol. G37 is fast but not CLK550 fast. The video clearly shows the CLK winning and you can even hear the announcer at the drag strip repeatedly saying things like "in the lead is the german engineered machine" and "first through the lights, it is the Mercedes all the way". Also, no CLK550 is running 9.217s 1/8m even on snow tires for gods sake. You must have raced a CLK 350 or 500 that night and confused it with the CLK550 in this vid dude

CLK550 shits on any G37 even with all bolt ons CLK550 walks the G37 it needs to be boosted to beat a CLK. My CLK550 runs 12.8 @ 108 and that's on a bad track on good 12.5 @ 108.

@flynnchris711 say what you want , i have the race tickets, the guy in the clk is my hommie, and yes it is a clk 550, im not saying the g37 is faster im just saying i won lol its that simple.

@flynnchris711 No worries, your not a bother. And yes I am a family owner of a 2009 Infiniti G37 however its a sedan not a coupe. I agree in terms of reliability with BMW they are not the best when it comes to longevity however they are great cars that perform very well. I am both biased to Infiniti & BMW aswell as I also have a 2007 BMW 328i coupe. The 328i hasnt given me any problems so far but the 335i I have heard has popular HPFP failures which is something costly to repair.

@Johncarson9113 , Yeah now I can see what you were getting at. And yeah my brother is being swayed away from the 335i bc of poor reliability with things like oil coolers, fuel pump and other minor powertrain issues and also the fact that it is so damn popular. Only good thing about the 335i is that it mods easily. Audi A5 is a joke of a car. Looks sexy, but $45K sport coupe with a four banger? Gotta be kidding me. Sorry if i keep bothering you but do you own a G37 by any chance?

@flynnchris711 I agree, I think the AMG package enhances the CLK's overall exterior appearance but like any old car once it becomes discontinued it feels outdated nevertheless there is no denying that many people would fall head over heels for the CLK. I guess with the 2011 E-class coupe replacing the CLK coupe makes the CLK just seem foreign to the current Mercedes Line up. If he likes the Infiniti G37 the BMW 335i is also a great alternative, the Audi A5 is great but unfortunately underpowered

@Johncarson9113 , Thanks for the feedback. I was just wonderin bc my brother actually is thinking of picking up a used '08/'09 CLK550 Benz for the price of a brand new Infiniti G37. He is kind of torn between the two cars. I agree with most of what you said but I still think the CLK as well as other older models like the last generation E-class still look and feel very nice considering their age. You dont think the AMG bodykit and wheels that come with the CLK550 look aggressive? To each his own

@flynnchris711 The CLK isnt a bad looking car but as whole its really not that great. The styling of the CLK is very old as it still contains Mercedes benz old traditional designs. The interior feels outdated as it has been in every Mercedes in the past till they finally decided to redesign the interior for newer generation vehicles in thier line up. Exterior wise the CLK has no agressive appeal to it. The use of LED's werent even out till 2 years ago for MB, the old G35 had it back in 03.
