Started documenting back in 1986 until 2000. Peter Chen's 15 years of work. Submitted for several film festivals and got number one two years in a row.
Shows about the real process of Stand Up Comedy world. Viewers will learn the cost involved in the process, the slow progress of the stand up comedy work in progress and the environment, of the comedy circuit, the pros and cons of the Comedy business, the hardship, the sacrifice and the passion, facing them and over coming them, because there are so many obstacles and limitations.
There are lots of interviews with many other comedians and friends from many many different standup comedy shows all edited together.

Its tough-comedy.

In places like LA, its really, really REALLY tough to be a comic.

I have largely performed in Honolulu for nearly 7 years where I have gotten guaranteed stage time.

I think I have only not gone up for two shows. Two in almost 7 years.

Yet guys like Peter have to wait hours to go on and then have to wait to get called up by an mc.

By that time, it could be midnight or 1am and maybe 2 people are there.

How these guys get good with the paltry time they get is beyond me.

@peterptc Peter, Iam a comedian who has been doing stand-up for nearly 7 years now. Iam currently based in Honolulu although I have done stand-up on the west coast and in cities like Seattle and San Francisco.

I found your documentary very enjoyable especially since Iam currently the subject of a documentary like yourself.

I know what you have gone through-in writing, honing and performing my bits in front of audiences for years.

If anything, you have gone through a harder road than me.
