  • because the protection ability is not yet resolved, the slaughter pact was played in response.

  • He played it in response to Sygg gaining protection from black. Remember the Stack: first in, last out.

  • O.k. I understand =) Thank you.

  • Slaughter Pact is black but the point is, that Gindy responded to Sygg's ability (getting protection), which leads to Slaughter Pact resolving before the Sygg gets protection.

  • I have one question. I like MTG but I don`t know all the rules =) When Ruess blocks Chameleon Colossus with his Sygg, River Guide he gives him protection from green. Then he gives him protection from black because of Shriekmaw. Why was Sygg, River Guide destroyed by Slaughter pact? It already had protection from black. Slaughter pact should be black or it is artifact?

  • It's decent, but white creature removal with you have black available - Really? does it beat all the terror/duress/edict variants out there? of course, those are two mana removal and sunlance is one less, so I guess if the mana is really tight that would be the difference.

  • good point

  • Nice at the end lol

  • that was bad luck!

  • I have to agree. i find myself unable to get into the report because of his poor news speak. No offense AT ALL though. i just felt that he would want to know (not that he would see this but) that people felt this way. Don't mind the news speak Evan, just cut the end-of-word emphasis...its far too much, and in general creates a lack of credibility...IMHO.
