Shaq's much better. Dwight's nowhere near as dominant, he's the best center today, but in the 90s he'd not be an all star, 90s has the best centers Shaq, Hakeem, Ewing, Robinson, Zo, Dikembe and Kevin Willis was also pretty good.

no contest shaq was so much better than what howard is today or will be....he was one of the most dominating players to ever play the game of basketball....he could do anthing but hit a free throw but thats not much of a difference from dwight

Shaq will always be considered better because of 1 thing: Competition. Hakeem, Ewing, Robinson, Mutombo, the list goes on. Name ONE center that's an all star besides Howard. The guy pads his stats against scrubs and chumps. He's good, of course. But he's not an all time great by any stretch of the imagination.

@shooby1213 your a fukin idiot. Dwight just smiles more, shaq can turn it on killer instinct and win ships. Dwight will smile and call it a day in orlando. Shaq played the NBA's best centers and got bigger as his career went on. Dwight is known for his smiling as far as im concerned.

Dwight howard's dunks were more electrifying than shaqs. And shaq is a mean person. He bitched about dh and hated kobe. I think most players of the nba would hate that old ass son of a cocky mother fucking dirty ass

@urpimpjack thanks for your opinion about your favorite center, snaq o meal. sure, dwight doesnt have as much offensive game as shaq had, but he is much better defender.

shaq demanded the ball during his prime, dwight doesnt do that, so of course shaq scores a lot more than dwight and thats where this illusion of shaq's offense is way better than dwight was created. however, it is true tho that dwight relay on his strength too much on offensive side rather than techniques, which shaq did.
