The OP is incorrect about blame. It is the govt's responsibility to preserve the people's doestic tranquility and welfare (meaning well-being, not handouts). They have failed to do so. They have approved laws that exported our living-wage jobs and have done nothing for those who lost their living. Yes, the govt is solely responsible, as the ones Constitutionally responsible for this mess.

They gave those banks huge (interest free) bailouts with the tax payers money, and refused to put restrictions on the bank's mortgage/loaning policies. How is anyone's fault but the government's?
