stevie is the only character that stuck around and made the show really worth watching right to the end.

Season 8 is a parody of Mcleods. Mcleods without Alex,Nick,Tess.....It is so sad and boring.

You are definitely right. I dont know how far in advance they wrote the script, but "Alex" decided it became more and more like a saop opera he wanted no part of any longer. And he got a better offer to do "The Strip", a crime story that was a copy of Miami Vice, and not even a good one. But he is together now with his co-star from this serie.
