haha dude it really does sound like it would be in it, if sonic 2 was invented today and not back in the early 90's

well not true for all labels. there are "not-for-profit" labels out there like Alphabasic in chicago. So if you spend $10 on a cd, then the artist gets all that $10.

@elhunt212 only if they keep it real

No.

This should be on the next Sonic the Hedgehog game.

The voice sounds like "A Real Woman" from SP :)

Dear Squarepusher,
Thank you for materialising my fuck groove into a track that i've had inside me this whole time.
Kind regards
gyp

this song sounds like squarepusher guested on expert knob twiddlers (without the vocals)

@vedivice The album is Shobaleader One - d'Demonstrator. It's a largely anonymous band. Squarepusher is the only known member (at least as far as I'm aware)
thank your favorite artist by buying their music.

@elhunt212 It depends, some of my favorite artists have labels that shouldn't get a dime, I'd rather have the $ wired directly to the artists. I agree with you for this album, it is released through Warp records, which is a good label :) Anti-DRM, all that.

@SopLusus you mean you download it from torrent or emule but you're trying to rationalize it a bit by namechecking drm and labels.

@sbandoboy Rationalize downloads? Please. These are perfect copies of an original without absolutely no net loss in resources but storage space. I don't like mediators, people in the middle, that's what labels are, controllers, I like Squarepusher ok, directly, and why should anything I give for that album go to someone other than Shobaleader? The label is a part of an old industry that doesn't want to grow up and update its business models, copyright is meant to encourage, not oppress [drm]
