  • when is the rally this year 2009

  • This Saturday, February 7. That's unless it gets called off because of the snow but that's unlikely

  • where abouts in the forest is the bit where the blue landrover goes off 0:54????????

  • Serridge stage, accessed via a car park on the Speech House road

  • What Nik Elsmore?

  • is'nt it mad how a 1970's escort could compete with the new stuff....i know they have a lot done to them..but still...nearly 40 years of engineering advances and it still gives the scooby's etc.. a run for their money...Ford hit the nail on the head with the mk1 and mk2 escort.....where did it all go wrong for ford?!....oh yeah....moving front wheel drive!!!!

  • Nice video, composed with care... Why the poor quality (only 360p)? I hope for the next edition a quality that is right for the good material!

  • @ForesterTV I had to watch it again...god that looks like fun! And I guess that explains why it sounds like Any Burtons car...I'll have to add Cosworth to the list of distinctive sounding engines, along with old Ford Escorts, Mazda rotaries, Subaru flat-4's, Harley-Davidson V-Twins, and Merlin and DB 603 V-12 aero-engines. Not that there aren't others, but those are ones that I usually recognize by sound.

  • @brodsterxx If the Focus RS was AWD, it would be perfect...the FWD is the only thing that limits it in any way, even so, it does surprisingly well with all the tech they put into eliminating the torque steer. But imagine the same size car, same 300hp engine, ground effects, etc, but with a good AWD system? It'd compete with the Evo and WRX (although I'm sure the fans of those two would happily hunt me down and drink my blood for saying so!).

  • @justforever96 It is a Cosworth-powered Ford Escort WRC car formerly owned by local driver Dave Jenkins. You will find an interview with him and more footage of the car in our rally video playlist...cheers for watching

  • @navdrum001 My thoughts exactly! And even Europes FWD's kick the shit out of what we get here in the US...it's not fair! I love the sound of that red Land Rover driving away...good old V8 music. And what's with the red and yellow hatchback right after it? It looks and sounds kind of like Andy Burtons Peugeot-Cosworth car, but his doesn't have the yellow, does it?

  • Shame it has to have music. It doesn't need it with the sound of rally cars.

  • Landrover? hahaha awesome! shame about the off.

  • Andy Burton he is one of the best rally drivers but i like the new subaru sti driver Gary Kenna better, who went to Mile End and Northern rally 2010 if you did do you know what the hold up was i think Andy Burton crashed? what do you think? comment on my profile anything320 and i'll try and find out the real answer if you no the real answer please tell me thank you.
