Monster Hunter Tri Low Rank Bowgun Gear vs Barroth

Just a demonstration to help those upcoming Bowgun users who are having trouble vs. Barroth (offline or low rank online).

The bowgun gear used here is something you should have available by the time you reach him.

Frame - Light Bowgun (upgrade to around the highest you can upgrade at that point)
Barrel - Royal Launcher
Stock - Tropeco

Ammo - Poison S/Flame S/Water S (Rapid-fired because of the bowgun combo)

Armor - doesn't really matter since you don't have much options when you first get to him offline but I when I first started off with Bowgun I used Peco armor because of the small defensive abilities it had over other armors around that rank.

I missed a few shots and reload points here and there but should give any upcoming Bowgun user a general idea what to do here, you shouldn't be timing out on this fight like I've been reading others do.

the reasons why i don't get bowgun

1. You have to reload your bowgun

2. It cost much cash for getting ammo and creating

3, The armor defense is low.

4. Offline it tooks long to kill a monster with a bowgun then online,

@ReMixToBone Well 1 and 3 are valid, 2 was never really an issue because I use farms for easy quick money. For 4, I kill things with bowgun just as fast as with melee. Bowgun is a technical weapon so you really have to know exactly which hitboxes to shoot at to get similar kill times to melee weapons. Online monsters actually have more defense than offline monsters.

@Deliro87 Not sure, not that expensive though for that setup used in the video. Money easy to come back if you use use the farms in the game though anyways.

In high rank i like to use rathling stock. thundacrus barell and agna blaster frame

auto fires on water and fire. at max upgrade it kills barroth in 3 mins.

IM on the urgent mission for 3* and really need help since I am a bowgun user as well I could use the any help you can give, like what areas to shot at which combination of gun parts and maybe armor as well

I always found that fighting the Barroth, or any brute whiveren for that mater, was much easier with a bowgun.

I found that the best way to maximize your bow gun power was to make good use of the rapid fire options.

how the crap do i reload!?!?!?!? ive tried google wiki and everything the only reload thing it told me was for the ps3 or somethin and i haz the wii i pressed every button and it didnt workz so is there a combo of buttonz? plz helpz im used to hammer and sword but i wanna try bowgun for barroth and other bosses like gigginox/lagicarious/etc

Why do people moan about bowguns being bad in solo? Havnt they heard of pellets? xD
