Nikon introduced the 70-200mm f2.8 VR back in 2003 and for 6 years it was known as one of those "must-have" medium zoom lenses. Now, with the release of the VRII, can Nikon improve on an already great formula? Watch the world's first field test of the 70-200mm f2.8 VRII to find out.

  • i want this lens soo bad!! its such an amazing lens!!

  • @SalM262 I said this last year, but so true!

  • Bought it - Got it - I LOVE IT! <3, very high quality lens

  • @blueKAPTIN Yes on a DX body (and while focused to infinity) this lens will be a 105 - 300mm equivalent. If you never upgrade to FX the cost of this lens won't be justified in my opinion.

  • @AbrahamCollins thanks for the reply sir,

so 70mm - 200m will be multiplied to 1.5 sir?

oh no! i really need to upgrade to a FX sensored camera, gotta save up a lot still T_T

  • same intro as Autocar.

  • new introoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

  • @blueKAPTIN Lenses don't have sensors, camera bodies do. This lens has an image circle that will fill an FX sensor. Remember DX sensor measures 24mm x 16mm and FX measures 36mm x 24mm.

When on a DX body the image quality will remain the same, but the effective focal length (lens' zoom) will be multiplied 1.5x. If you won't upgrade to FX you'll be wasting money on a lens that your DX camera only records the center portion of.

  • @AbrahamCollins i'm also an amateur enthusiast to this hobby also, does this lens has an FX sensor? and what it will do to an DX body, will it compromise its image quality, im still confused :)

  • @latinfueg0 Buy the lens. The D3100 will hold its own while you save up for a FX camera body.
