The Beatles - For No One (Cover)

Here is my cover of the Beatles' classic For No One off of Revolver.

Here I played it in B major which is how the song is played off of the album. However, Paul plays the song live in C major, it's an easier key to work with, and I have the feeling they recorded it in C and slowed it down to B major post production. Much like Strawberry Fields and Lovely Rita, just to name a few, whose key float in purgatory somewhere.

Through the magic of a 2-track digital piano, the solo was recorded on a seperate track apart from the live playing you see me doing.

Like you I suspect the song was recorded in the key of C. It is certainly in the key of B on the record so may have been slowed down. The horn player, Alan Civil, found the key to be between Bb and B when he came in for his session.
