  • Great stuff, brother Holding. Glad to see you here on YouTube. You are SO needed out here with all the atheist nonsense and foolishness out here. We need to tagteam up and kick some butt. LOL. Hey, by the way, I think it would be nice if you have your "scholar" character who answers "Prof" or some other atheist actually talk and give the answer and you can post words or reference info. To me it's better than having us read so much info. Just a tip.

  • @CRoadwarrior Eh, I tried that in Beat the Bible Scholar and some said it was too boring. Go figure. That's also why I use supp articles and just highlight points here. You and I don't mind reading, but this IS YT after all. :P That's why atheists are strong here, and conspiracy people like Jeff Rense -- it's a place for people who hate to read.

  • Comments hereafter will not be checked/answered. Thank you for watching!

  • Attn DQW: Any more posts that do not address the specific issue of this vid -- the alleged contradiction within John's gospel -- will be deleted without answer.I am not here to chase people down rabbit trails just because they need a place to rant.

I'll have a chat to him about it when he comes online later.

  • @DarkQuietWyattON First of all, I deleted all of your comments other than the first. My rule is one post at a time. I don't have all day to edit rants. As to your first message, no, ALL Biblical scholars agree that Jews of the first century period expected God to judge the world at the end of the age. Not just Christian scholars. ALL.

Look up "scholarship" for what you lack.

  • @tektontv --When you say "Biblical scholars" I assume you are talking about Christian Biblical Scholars and yes, I do know things they do not because I follow the oral Torah and you guys seem to have decided we, the people God gave the Torah to, didn't know what we were talking about and you guys needed to tell us how to interpret our own Torah.

Look up Chutzpah for what you and all Christians do.

I swear, the more I am on You Tube, the more I think many Christians are brainwashed

  • @DarkQuietWyattON I never use the word "maybe" and it is not I who says he contradicted himself -- ProfMTH says that. I say there are two viable readings, both of which make contextual sense.

"Clearly crap"? Odd, because every Biblical scholar agrees that Jews thought God would do this. Perhaps you know something they don't? A new scroll you got out of the Qumran library, maybe?

The point re Jesus being a man has no bearing on that. Look up "non sequitur" to get an idea what you just did.

  • This is the dumbest thing I have ever had explained to me. First of all you give several points of what MAYBE Jesus meant. Ok...well MAYBE he contradicted himself. MAYBE the "New Testament" is a bunch of garbage".

Your example of "Jews thought God would come to judge the end of the world" and so Jesus denied that is what he came for, is clearly crap. Few Jews would think God was a man...so why would Jesus need to say he did not come to judge the world?

  • @ProfMTH

What other examples? Are you thinking of appealing to experts to prove a particular opinion in a controversial field, where there is a lot of disagreement among the experts? If so J.P didn't do that. He cited two experts who have slightly different ways of looking at John 9:39 without drawing a conclusion as to which view is correct. His point as far as I can see was to show that since such views are held by experts in the field they are to be taken seriously.
