LG unveiled its new touch phone 'KF700' at MWC 2008

BARCELONA, Spain (AVING Special Report on 'MWC 2008') LG Electronics today unveiled its new multimedia phone that combines three input methods 'LG-KF700' during Mobile World Congress 2008 in Barcelona, which creates an intuitive user interface and provides instant access to features.

The KF700 itegrates a 3-inch touchscreen, alpha-numeric keypad and Shortcut Dial. Each of these input methods is assigned to the tasks at which it is most efficient, making LG's highly intuitive interface possible. With its user-optimized navigation, all of the phone's functions and features are instantly accessable.

"Our consumers told us that they wanted a phone that had plenty of multimedia features, but doesn't take a long time fiddling with menus to figure out. We created the LG-KF700 based their insight," said Dr. Skott Ahn, CEO of LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company. "On many phones these multimedia features are hidden deep in menus, requiring too much time and effort to find them. The LG-KF700 eliminates these endless menus with its intuitive interface and multiple input methods."

The KF700 will be available in Europe in mid March and will become available in other markets in the months following.

I reacon this phone is great, i don't personally have it, but if you are looking for a touch screen phone with high end features this is the only phone i have found for a reasonable price. Sure iPhones 3G are nice, but im not going to waste 1300-1400 bucks on one.. If iPhone want a larger market, lower your price, with the way technology goes iphones wont be worth more than 500 bucks by the end of 2008. Why not spend less on the same features and upgrade when you need to. Thumbs up from me

I can´t find a reason why they did get out this phone, it is just the same than LG viewty, but with a HORRIBLE pad, buttons are passing to history, why to do this? I am sorry, i see this phone as a Frankestein LG ku990 Viewty
