With X-Men Origins: Wolverine's May 1, 2009, release date approaching, Fox is already planning more X-Men movies.

In the hopes that Wolverine will be a huge success, X-Men Origins: Magneto is already being developed, with The Dark Knight writer David Goyer attached as director, and a plot revolving around Magneto's concentration camp beginnings, as seen in the first X-Men, and his friendship with a young Charles Xavier that eventually breaks apart as their philosophies evolve and differ.

Fox has also announced a movie adaptation of the comic book X-Men: First Class which will examine the early years at the Xavier School, featuring some of the mutants shown in the previous trilogy. Variety confirmed that Josh Schwartz, creator of TV's Gossip Girl, will write the screenplay.

Lastly, a Deadpool movie is in discussion, a spin-off of the comic book assassin Ryan Reynolds portrays in X-men Origins: Wolverine, should the movie be a hit and Reynolds becomes an audience favorite.

CAN SOMEONE besides 'Fox' PLEASE handle the X-men? It's like they look at a cover to a comic, and then make whatever movie they want, then slap X-Men on the title.

Scrap all that Trash I want to see Either a NightCrawler movie, orrrr something along the lines of X-men evolution..In the sense of characters..Toad,Quicksilver,b­lob, and all the other guys...total mis use of every single character in every single movie..as a director given the opportunity to use this stuff and blowing it does not make sense to me...I'm sorry but they should let someone who has read the comics make the movies...

Gambit would be awesome but it's probably false. Deadpool is a possibility and I could see a wolverine II. I'm telling you right now though, it'll be crap, just like the first wolverine.

Deadpool is gonna be really similar to Wolverine imo. Total waste. Does Wolverine need a sequel too? Hell no, the first one was bad enough. Magneto I can get behind but Gambit is a false rumour, they're not making that one.

I wanna see movies for interesting characters with amazing powers. Either Nightcrawler with the whole Mystique birth, religious, circus, torch weilding villagers storyline orrrrr Storm with the whole theif in Egypt, african goddess storyline. They're the 2 most interesting
