" Sista Valsen Med Dig " ( Lyrics by Anders Glenmark )
Situationen
Är alldeles klar
Väskan står packad för
En tre, fyra dar
Lite lugn, lite ro
Det kan vi behöva nu
Och sedan får vi se
Må det bästa ske
Solen går ner - Jag vet
Snart går den ner - Jag ser
En sista gång
Och nu, medan chansen finns
Önskar jag en sista
Vals
Precis som förr, med glans
Och som i trance
Du för, jag följer dig
Månen ler
Åt paret som han ser
Vad som än sker
Slutar dansen ikväll
Sista valsen med dig
Oacceptabelt
Och helt ohållbart
Tycker du dom är värdiga
Alla grälen vi har
En minut eller två
Så är min taxi här
Jag kommer sakna dig
Verkligen sakna dig
Solen går ner - Jag vet
Snart går den ner - Jag ser
En sista gång
Och nu, medan chansen finns
Önskar jag en sista
Vals
Precis som förr, med glans
Och som i trance
Du för, jag följer dig
Månen ler
Åt paret som han ser
Vad som än sker
Slutar dansen ikväll
Sista valsen med dig
Det kommer att bli svårt
Att lämna allt som varit vårt
Men nästa vind bär nya frön
(Även du, Även jag)
Även vi
Vi kan
Och finns där alltid för varann
Vi står på tröskeln
Vi ler
Där uppe Månen som ber:
«Dansa mer'».....
Vals
Precis som förr, med glans
Och som i trance
Du för, jag följer dig
Månen ler
Åt paret som han ser
Vad som än sker
Slutar dansen ikväll
Sista valsen med dig
Sista valsen med dig
" Last Waltz With You " ( English lyrics )
Situation
Is quite clear
The bag is packed for
A three, four days
A little calm, a bit quiet
It may be we need now
And then we'll see
May the best happen
The sun goes down - I know
Soon it goes down - I see
One last time
And now, while there is a chance
I wish one last
Vals
Just as before, with gloss
And as if in trance
You order, I follow you
Moon smiling
To the couple that he sees
Whatever happens
Ends dance tonight
The last waltz with you
Unacceptable
And totally untenable
Do you think they are worthy
All quarrels we have
A minute or two
So here's my taxi
I will miss you
Really miss you
The sun goes down - I know
Soon it goes down - I see
One last time
And now, while there is a chance
I wish one last
Vals
Just as before, with gloss
And as if in trance
You order, I follow you
Moon smiling
To the couple that he sees
Whatever happens
Ends dance tonight
The last waltz with you
It will be difficult
Leaving all that has been our
But the next breeze carries new seeds
(Even you, I too)
Although we
We can
And is there always for each other
We are on the threshold
We smile
Up there the moon, which asks:
«Dance more'».....
Vals
Just as before, with gloss
And as if in trance
You order, I follow you
Moon smiling
To the couple that he sees
Whatever happens
Ends dance tonight
The last waltz with you
The last waltz with you
I have every single one of Frida's solo albums, and this one has to be my favorite. It has such a timeless sound that isn't associated with any time frame, and could fit in and probably could chart in today's music industry.
I don't even speak Swedish (I plan on learning someday), nor do I know the translation of the lyrics, yet I still find the music incredibly beautiful

@Crazy Cat Person 66 This is one of my favorites as well. I now have the Swedish and English ( loosely translated ) lyrics posted. Thanks for looking in!

My fave track from a wonderful album. Pity Frida didn't follow it up using the same songwriter' this suited her voice better than previous releases. Shame we've lost all those years in between when we could've had more of those silky vocals. thanks for the intro.

Anders Glenmark ( Gemini and The Glenmarks ) produced and co-wrote Frida's 1996 album "Djupa Andetag" and did a very nice job. Frida didn't want this album to have any international attention, so it was never released or promoted that way. She wanted to sing in Swedish again as well, thus it was only released in Sweden and Scandinavia when it was first released. Thank you for looking in.
Peace from Iowa ( USA )...Jim~

Isn't this the Swedish version of Joe Dassin's 70s hit, 'Ma Bonne Étoile'? Frida, as always, was great!

All I know is that this song was composed by Anders Glenmark. Being an Agnetha fan, I don't know as much about Frida as I should.
