La Peña Flamenca de Seattle performing Bulerías at Seattle Center's Winterfest in November 2007. This song's chorus (and name) is "alegría, alegría" but don't be fooled--it is a bulería (in "mi") through and through. This was our last song of the night (hence all the bowing). Enjoy.

  • Actually, you can see the Arabic style in the Spanish music art today. The Spanish Guitar was driven from the Arabic Oud and the skirt of the dancer is the conservative style of the dancer back then. The hand clamping is exactly the Arabic style. The Arabs occupied Spania for 700 years until driven out completely but the blood remains there which had produced the most beautiful blend of human art and people.
