Niko uses an up and coming lifter to demonstrate a more simple way of putting on a Titan Bench shirt, while using Wal-Mart bags. The volume is not that great, and we should re-shoot this vid, but for now, it gives you a greatter understanding of how simple and easy is should be to get your bench shirt on. As a coach or partner; don't beat up the lifter! Support the lifter and make sure you do all the work of the getting the shirt on. Better quality videos to come later.

  • I will try bags and see how they work. I was worried that with bags long enough to reach all the way up they would tear out or be difficult to remove Do you also use bags over sleeves on dead lift and squat suits?. Thanks

  • @Chrislift1234 No, we do not use bags OVER sleeves for deadlift suits. The bags for the shirt, are just long enough to get the sleeve up past the elbow. Please not how long the bags are in the vid. Good luck.

  • way to much trouble to use you wont use it at a meet!jmo.

  • @toppgunn2232 Of course, we use them in a contest, thats why we made the video. People bench RAW and use bench shirts. But, I see your lifting videos on your channel describe exactly how much you lift and how much you know about our sport.

  • @garageink Like the way You put on a shirt. I like the Titan slip Sleeves that go all the way up to the arm pits which makes it easier to get a tight shirt on. You make things seem simple reminding me of a drill instructor like the way You teach. Saw a guy in an older class at Worlds struggle in the warm up room with 275 raw who opened with 402 in a Katana, it just shot up,got roughly 68 percent, quite high. A lot of lifters hit the 30 percent or higher range in f6 and katanas at Worlds.

  • @Chrislift1234 Coaching as many lifters as I have, i have used both. I like using bags over sleeves due to the fact that I don't have more material to work with, less effort to remove the bags over sleeves, faster putting shirts on and easier to twist the sleeves if need be.

  • @garageink Don't think You can say a number such as 40 pounds which is nothing for a shirt user. SOME get as much as three hundred like John Hudson. Anyone benching 400 raw should be getting at least 520 shirted if they are using a Katana, experienced, arch, know how to use the shirt, shirt not to big. If You are using the new Super Katana correctly and have a decent arch You should do 30-40 percent or more. Two ply shirts allow more weight with higher percentages. Lower raw lower percent.

  • Not quite 40%, my experience shows an increase of 40-75 pounds as an AVERAGE! Now there are extremes on both ends. It is a different groove and technique to get used to. So, the learning curve will garner your results.

  • can you really bench %40 more with a bench shirt

  • Thank you!!! We will make another video w/ 360 degree tutorial and better volume next time! I hope it is still able to help a lot of lifters out there.
