Students at MRH Middle School participated in a project titled "On the Road Again...". Students took on the roles of variety of different migrants during the time period of 1840-1880. The goal of project was for students to understand that mass migration occurs when people are trying to fulfill needs or are pushed out by political, social, religious, economic, or environmental forces. Groups consisted of a cartographer, diary producer, and testimonial producer to create a Google Map of their journeys. Students used Apple iLife applications to create videos that were uploaded to place markers on their Google Maps.
