Tom Welling in Superman suit

The three shots where Tom Welling wore the full-fledged, genuine Superman suit in the second part of Smallville's "Finale". Granted, Tom had already worn the iconic 'S' on his chest for the last two seasons straight, but this is when it was time to suit up or suit out.,.. or both? But yeah, as it turned out, he only wore the upper half of it for these very few shots, so no red boots, red trunks, or seeing Tom's legs in tightie-blue. Enjoy!

(And for the record, while I poke a bit of fun at the concept, I'm personally not mad or upset at how full-fledge Supes was handled. Seriously, with the flying, CGI, and what Tom did put on, I got more than I expected in the series finale. So opinion what he and the series did all ya' want, but that's my perspective on this whole thing...)

I would been happy if we could of had the non cgi close up in the full suit and for the final scene being a shirt rip with the real non cgi underneath the suit

@truecountrymusicfan I'll say this one time. I've freeze-frame observed the series finale's full-fledged Superman moments on Blu-Ray, in HD, very carefully. Just before Tom does the shirt-rip as he's loosening his tie, you can see the 'S' popping up under his white business shirt (as well as the upper piece's long-sleeve nature through the wrist-slits, so it's not a T-shirt). IF the emblem was CGI and I'm not saying it was, it was simply enhancing a 'S' that was already there, Tom did wear it...

0:35 that wasn't even a suit.. Look at the left side of the screen and you can see his arm. It's just a t-shirt :(

(pt2) dons the suit, and flies out of the Fortress of Solitude. Would you have preferred THAT to Clark zipping around saving Air Force One (with Lois onboard), and then moving a frickin' planet away from smashing into Earth? I'm sure you would have "as long as we get to see him in the complete suit from head to toe" because THAT'S what Superman is all about - not saving the day / world. (sarcasm) *sigh*

@firetopman Correct me if I'm wrong (anyone), but the show Smallville IS the cinematic experience to show HOW Clark Kent becomes Superman. How could you think it's anything BUT that? Secondly, if you look at what Superman (1) did, and what Reeve said he understands that Smallville was showing (which "Clark" Tom was playing), it was the Clark before he becomes Superman. If you picked the moment in Superman (1) that that happened, it would be right after Clark / Kal-El finishes his training,

@XxkloudxX354 Not really, we see the colors, we see computer graphics, we see him open his shirt to reveal the "S" symbol...but what we NEVER see is him wearing the suit, head to toe, no graphics, no close-ups. As bad as the George Reeves imaging was, at least we see him in the suit, plus him flying in the suit. I'm not an avid comic reader like most superman fans, but what I KNOW to be true is that seeing an actual man in a superman suit is way more satisfying than seeing computer graphics.

@firetopman well they couldve jus ended it with a cliffhanger with clark just recieving the suit. but instead they showed him actually becoming superman.
