How Far We've Come

I've FINALLY finished one of the tens of videos I've been working on. This one actually came together quite quickly, it took maybe two weeks to complete. This is a music video celebrating the first six Harry Potter films, set to "How Far We've Come" by Matchbox Twenty.

Notes:
- I tried to include all major DH deaths, but I had trouble deciding whether to show Crabbe (who dies in the book) or Goyle (who will die in the movie), so I just put a clip in with both of them.

- Since this is a tribute to the six films, I didn't include any scenes from the DH trailer or any other movies with HP actors.

- When choosing which teachers to feature (near the end), I went with all DADA teachers and all teachers/Hogwarts staff who have been/will be in multiple films (though I know I probably missed some, and I didn't include other characters such as Fleur, Viktor, or the ghosts because I couldn't fit them in anywhere).

AMAZING!!! it really puts all the character development into perspective! (also, on a callous david tennant fangirl-note, my favorite parts were the couple of half-second scenes of barty jr)

Just one question though, what program did you use to make it and how did you get the video to be frammed like that with the white outline? :)

@tmandas07 Thanks, I use Sony Vegas Movie Studio 6.0 to make my videos, and it has a "border" option under the FX tools.

I hate to be the one to say this, because this is an absolutely fantastic vid, but someone not entirely familiar with the books and movies might watch this video and think, 'so, wait, is every book basically the same plot, just a new year?' XD

I love this, whenever I watch it it rips my heart open a little, in a good way. Have you made any video incorporating Deathly Hallows part 2, I would love to see this with Neville being as awesome as he was in that, also Fred's death, although seeing how emotional this wonderful video makes me, I'm not sure I could handle that

Even after almost a year since I first saw this I still love it soooo much. Probably one of my fave HP music vids ever. I love the way you fit the clips so perfectly to the music and lyrics. Beautifully made.
