This is a vid of my Road to the Show player hitting his first career homerun. It was in the 5th game of the 2011 season (3rd year).

  • When I was called up my first pitch of my first at bat was a grand slam at the giants ballpark

  • when i was called up to the bigs, i hit my first hr in my first game which was in fenway park over the monster

  • my player got called up today and he hit a 2 run hr his first career mlb at bat. he's battin like .800 for the braves after my first 3 games

  • @Mr89Youngman What position cause i get so pissed off like they never freaking promote me!!

  • @Hathman60 Yep sometimes your like "OK, I wanna get up to my player so I can get some good stats!" So they let you play always as you

  • Im a shortstop for the Cards im in AA now im a starter and im batting like .417 with 1 hr 11 rbi and 29 hits in only like 20 or 21 games soo yea

  • I have a 2nd baseman. I'm starting for triple A. I'm batting .336 2 HR's and about 25 RBIs. Im hoping im going to be called up bkoz i did good in my advancement goals. I may not reach only 1 goal. But idk. My power blows though. I lead the league in triples bkoz my guy just misses hr's. So its either extra bases or flyout which blows. What's a good number for power? Im at like 49 against righty and 47 against lefty.

  • I'm still in the minor leagues right now. (AAA). Red Sox call me to the bigs already!

  • Actually you're right.

My first comment worked back when I had MLB 07 The Show for PS2, but MLB 09 for PS3 is actually much harder.

And after several short, frustrating careers I'm realizing it is true that it is all about timing & patience. It is like real baseball, you have to wait for your pitch, you have to follow it all the way from the pitcher's hand to the barrel of your bat.

So my new rule is when I am impatient, or frustrated, I just have to stop playing. MLB 07 was a lot easier.

Actually I hit the X button, it's all about timing in this game, and you must be patient at the plate...It's called the most authentic baseball game for a reason...but have a blast and once you can start reading pitches it only gets better with time...What I do a lot will have batting practice before I start RTTS just to get some timing done...but don't get frustrated if you don't hit one hard everytime
