Show me tha money Ingrid Bergman

*July 2011 Update - The song choice was a deliberate action on my part, because I feel that many of Ingrid's characters were women unafraid to use their bodies - and sex - to get what they wanted. ESPECIALLY Ivy Peterson, Clio Dulaine & Alicia Huberman. Many times "old" movies are criticized for being idealistic or out of touch with today's issues. And I WHOLEHEARTEDLY disagree. I used this particular song, a modern song, and paired it with an "old" black and white movie, giving it current-day context. And the end result, I hope, shows that no matter how "old" the movies, they are always relevant and timeless if you pay attention.

And besides, I nicknamed this the "Ingrid Bergman Rap" while I was working on it. And it would be way less cool if it was the "Ingrid Berman Slow Ballad that's not the least bit controversial."

Thanks to everyone who took the time to comment, good, bad or indifferent. Whatever your reaction, I'm glad the vid inspired it. ;)

  • "How horrible song and how pretty was Bergman!!!!"

I give your comment a thumbs down because of the careful work put into this, with the attention to smoothness in transition -- sync, in other words, between filmwork and song -- and the music's actually cool, even if the vocalist's main lines may not all be the best. With these shots included, the dedication has DEFINITELY got potential though(smile); so it's on the right track. Thanks for sharing an enjoyable work, krisnreine.

  • What a pity! Ingrid Bergman was beautiful, elegant and stylish. Your choice of music is crude, tuneless and repetitive. You could easily have found some great music from the 1940s when she was at her best. This is with could have been a great video but it is spoiled

  • Ah! I love it!! :D

  • I love Ingrid Bergman and would never associate her with this type of music (especially since I don't care for this song in any way). BUT, the pairing works in the oddest of ways.

  • Wow, that song actually worked for this video; nice editing!

  • What the dickens is this? WOW what an odd combination and how unusually fitting in a vulgarly unfitting way. I never expected I'd see this, thank you...you succeeded in surprising me!

  • Awesome Video!!! She is so pretty

  • excellent video montage...goes perfectly with the rap song in an 'old meets new' way! Well done!!

  • terrific editing job, and I love the song, too.

  • Good God this is so original *****+

  • I was blown AWAY by the video because I though the combination of hip hop wouldn't work(nothing against hip hop).

But it is fresh new and hip. I give your video 2thumbs up because this took work to pull off
