Kin Crimson had a lyricist for their 1st 4 albums (Peter Sinfield), by which time he and Fripp were the only 2 originals left. That was his last stand, and then there was only Fripp. I liked Sinfield's lyrics. I'm glad Procol kept Reid.

Too good for words...
These people are far above music...

In the green trees
Love is lost

"Cerdes". Del album Procol Harum, del grupo de rock del mismo nombre, de septiembre de 1967. Una mezcla del rock alternativo y el rock sinfonico.

@LordGrokken This is exactly the way the trees appeared to react to the gusts off the bay " once upon a dot" :-)

@TumbrelJockey Just thinking about that combo could give someone an acid flashback....awesome.
Besides the Beatles, I can think of no other band that combines the artistry and imagination quite like this group...or should I say "Quite Rightly So."

It's the lyrical genius of Reid that sets Procol apart -given voice through the great Brooker. Love Cream as well -they shared a preference for idiosyncratic lyricists.Only Jack could make Brown's imagery in anyway plausible. But can we for a moment consider what a union Syd Barrett, Gary Brooker, Jack, and Reid -not Pete Brown , would have made.Even the Beatles would've given them the lane to pass.
