Dreamscapes of unrelieved tension and the need for resolution in rapidly developing India.

Many people in India, especially women, are faceless to the world -- unrepresented and unseen. Dowry problems are symbolized by crumbling buildings. India's union of faiths and cultures is the contextual basis for exploring how materialism is changing India.

Anup's song "Sweet Dissonance" is the perfect compliment to these themes in Raffic's artwork. It is a song that uses combinations of sounds and instruments to create inherent tension in the progression of the song and is used here to allude to the unresolved tensions in India.

  • These are really interesting works -- I feel like I've been far away -- I particularly like the wrinkling effect --

    cheers from a fellow collagist

Thanks for your comment. Do you know any galleries that focus on collage art? I am trying to make some introductions for Raffic here in the US and finding it tough.

Also, do you have any of your work online?

    Thanks, Fiadante.
