I Decided I'm going to go through my old Bryce animations and touch them up a bit, update them to 720P HD and re upload them, since most of them were only rendered at 640x480 at 15 fps and uploaded as low quality 320x240 512kb/s wmv files. I figured now that I have a more powerful pc then I had when they were first rendered, I could probably update them all to HD in a reasonable amount of time. This is still pretty much the same as the original, just touched up a bit and alot higher resolution.

*Note* If the video plays choppy when you click the HD button, your probably going to have to start the video from the beginning again, then it should play smooth.

Original Description:
This is My Fifth Bryce Animation. It starts out with the camera going around Mars, then it zooms in and flies over some Mars terrain.

  • WOW How did you get Mars texture!:)? This is awesome!!!!!!!

  • @Psychedalien Thanks! =-) The texture from the space view or from the on the planet view? The space view one I got from celestiamotherlode . net, and the on the planet view textures are just default Bryce textures.

  • @DVLIAC Thanks!!!!!!

  • @Psychedalien No problem! =-)

  • As it is, the camera track is annoying, but the mars texture is excellent.

Toss a space ship or two in there (maybe some poser astronauts) and you've got something.

  • Well thanks then! =-) I'm currently rendering a new animation thats similar to this one, and this time in full 1920x1080 HD resolution and my hope is it'll look more real then this one. So if you liked this animation you might like that one too. I should have it done and uploaded in a week or so. =-) I've never played that game, but it was a friend of mine that made the music I used in the video, so he might have played it before and got some ideas from it, I'm not sure.

  • I meant it as a compliment :-) If it looks real then I'm sure its near its full potential. You know what I mean. I want to buy the newest version. I was trying to think what this video reminds me of and then it came to me. Its like the 80s video game Uridium, that what it reminds me of with the music. :-)

  • Actually I don't think I've shown It's full potential, I've seen even more realistic scenes made in Bryce, It just takes some time to add alot of detail. =-) If you want to get it, I believe they released Bryce 5.5 as a free version. Just do a search, it should be easy to find. If you try it and really like it then you could upgrade to Bryce 6.1 but It's not much better then Bryce 5.5. :-)

  • Hi

I want to get this animation program. With this video you have demonstrated it to its full potential. From 1:20 onwards it all looks so real. Thanks for shearing this great video. :)

  • Thanks =-)
