The boss who is forming into pieces is the same boss in Megaman (NES) Dr. Wily Stage. The only difference is thsi boss is color violet while in Megaman it's colored Brown. Then This Boss's pieces is bouncing and it's way easier to defeat if you already memorize his movement patterns.

there is a easier way to get up there but it requires you to go through the first mini boss and complete the blue switch palace
after the boss you come to the invincibility section. if you keep going up when able you come to a pipe with blue blocks under it
whenyou go into that pipe you come to where the invincibility star is kept to get to the secret exit

This "Yellow" devil looks like the purple devil to me.

I ran back and forth, until i could fly up. i used a Spin-jump to begin flying instead of a normal jump because a spin jump gives you more height and control.
