From the Lonesome Pines Bluegrass Festival in Laurel, MS on June 8, 1990. Band members include Tim Austin - guitar, Buck Green - bass, Dan Tyminski - mandolin, and Dale Perry - banjo.
Dale was the orginal, after he left Steve Dilling was their Banjo player... He went with Russel Moore and made IIIrd Tyme Out... and then Sammy became the banjo player in 1993!
Thos is a very cool arangement, and it's nice to see a bluegrass version of this Merle Haggard song.

The original banjo player was Billy Wheeler (circa 1984), followed by Randy Driskill, Brian Fesler, Dale Perry, Steve Dilling and then Sammy Shelor.

Buckwheat Green has one of the best tenor voices that ever came out of West Virginia.
