Two newly found shortcuts for Mountain Caves lvl in Tomb Raider Anniversary.

For the first shortcut, it gets you down there to the switch in a more straight way instead of going the right curvy route. But I didn't test it accurately. A rough test turns out that it should save 2-3 seconds.

And actually, the 2nd one was found long time before already, and the reason for which I always kept it secret was the fact that it's very hard to perform perfectly. If performed perfectly enough, it might save only 1 second or so, since now I managed to shorten down the Mountain Caves lvl to 3:18, one sec faster than my last attempt without using it.

  • wow!i didn`t notice Lara`s grapple was so long at 0:19.:D

  • So far, Legend is far easier to be run than Anniversary for me, cuz Legend almost has no strict demands on FPS. As long as you have at least 60(yeah, 70, 80,...even 200 are all okay), most shortcuts can be done pretty easily with only one attempt even if the FPS are not consistent! And Legend almost has got no annoying bugs and glitches at all apart from those useful glitches.

  • Hmm... it seems many tricks've gotta be given up in an IL one. :| Well, perhaps I'll give up the idea of running this game finally. Maybe I'll run TRU, but whether to run it still depends on whether the game is so buggy that annoys me and whether there're so many useful glitches in it. ^^

  • Besides the beginning not being that easy, I guess Midas's Palace and Folly will be quite unforgiving.

Pyramid has those difficult shaft shortcuts yeah, but some segmenting should make it managable.

As for Obelisk, I think it's the hardest level in a normal/glitchless playthrough, not using all those shortcuts.

  • Yeah, 100% would indeed be very challenging, though we would probably dicover lots of new shortcuts. ^^

    So how about IL?

  • Personally I think it's not good, though that might varies from person to person. :)

  • I feel the same as jardart... xD

Well, for instance, my Legend walkthrough has been delayed til so late, though in fact, I always strove hard to squeeze some time to do it, you know. :/

After finishing it, I might as well have some rest, I guess.

  • it does? :[ Is that a good thing?

  • Oh I see. I personally regard the Great Pyramid as the hardest lvl to run. Which lvl do you think of as the hardest one (despite Obelisk as you told me before (it's not wanted for a continuous run). And actually I think Obelisk isn't that hard)?

  • I don't intend to do another easy run, since you've already decided to do it, which is bound to be awesome. ;)

    I don't quite like doing a 100% run though, cuz I guess it'll even be harder... :/
