Each conductor has his own way of conducting. Personally I like the way Bernstein does it. You don´t that´s quite your privilege. By the way musicians did not seem to mind to be directed by him. I wonder why ? Perhaps because he was one of the best? Or because they liked his cowboy hat? Great conducting by one of the best conductors of all time that´s all what we really should be saying about this.
