Folks.... Black metal started here.. Just listen to that guitar at the ending part is so evil and powerful.. The lyrics go withouy saying... The singing and screaming so sick and brutal...it all started here. you can feel it in your soul dude the chills and power bm is. its a phenomenal feeling

@witchkiller78 every kid today heard or listened to slayer or metallica, but most of them never heard of Venom. Sure they are pioneers, but metallica and slayer are taking the credit. Why? Quality is important to reach out to the ignorant (lot of them). otherwise the best thing a band like Venom can hope for is a cult following. recognition to me, comes from audience. I bet if WTH, BM, AWWS, were cleaner productions, they would do much better than just a cult following.

@dawallaby82 well , early Venom classics can't be remastered to the point that they will sound like Cast In Stone. As far as recognition is concerned ,man, Venom ARE the undisputed Fathers of extremity in metal. Every ,and i mean EVERY thrash/black/death band refers to them as influence ,music metal press hails "Welcome To Hell" and "Black Metal" as metal history, how much more recognition? Times change and today's kids are used to clean ,cutting edge productions and digital sounds.

@witchkiller78 yeah i figured big 4 was all american bands, but venom needs more recognition than it has now. The cast in stone album has re-recordings and sound awesome, but then lant lost his youth voice, so it's to me, give and take. but i imagine his early 80's voice on cast in stone version of rip ride, and man, you should agree there at least needs to be an alternate cd of the classics really remastered just to compare, and for ppl today that just got introduced to venom.
