I would immagine it's closer to a motorcycle in realistic utility rather than a lazy person's bike. Additionally the ability to pedal should appeal to the shorter distances and more casual trips.
Especially in cities in the US with shitty public transit (any real city other than Chicago) it could make the bridge between biking distance and painfully slow/expensive public transit.

I really don't get it. Why do people keep on trying to make bicycles more attractive by installing engines on them? The whole point of having a bike is to get tired! Thats what makes me feel good. Plus - I get from A to B in the process.
