right-most of the 3 trombone players at 4:32 is a man named Steve Witser. Single most amazing trombone player that I have ever, ever heard. I live in Cleveland, and we were close family friends with his family. He passed away from a sudden, unforeseen heart attack right after he moved to L.A to be principle trombone there. I hadn't thought about him until i saw him in this video right here, and I miss him so, so much. Such a good man.

This sound so beautifull!

@Mooncut One plays their best when emotions flow.. Yeah 9/11 was terrible; I'll be honest I can't remember what I said. Was probably drinking

@atrumdecretum Perhaps it's a victim of the deeply emotional experience of this selection at that poignant time in our nation's history. To your comment I simply say, "Ugh!"

This is great especially if you love brass. Although the Y-Tube version is not as good as his 40th anniversary Carniegie Hall concert CD, the version that Woody Herman and his thundering herd does is quite awesome. With all due respect, you classics snobs should check it out.

Oh, say, can you see, by the dawn's early light,
What so proudly we hailed at the twilight's last gleaming?
Whose broad stripes and bright stars, thru the perilous fight,
O'er the ramparts we watched, were so gallantly streaming?
And the rockets' red glare, the bombs bursting in air,
Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there.
O say, does that star-spangled banner yet wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave?

which trumpet keeps botching his note?! ugh

Finest orchestra on this planet.
I am impressed with the fact that this orchestra stands when playing our national anthem - a nice touch of class and respect!
