You have many much finer musicians than him (just look at the orchestra playing behind him!). Instead of tolerating his low-class act, better to promote those musicians from Mexico who are worthy of it.

Get real; there are thousands of first-and second-year conservatory STUDENTS all over the world who have as good or better technique than he does, and most of them also display a lot more musicianship as well.

If you want to hear what really good recorder playing sounds like, seach the names 'Michala Petri', 'Francis Colpron', 'Sophie Larivière,' 'Matthias Maute', 'Marie-Laurence Primeau', and 'Vincent Lauzer' on You Tube.

I could care less if he Mexican or Martian; he's got no class and damned little musicianship and it shows. If he was any good, he wouldn't need to parade around with his navel showing and his pecs oiled. Be doing that, he puts himself on the same level as, say, Janet Jackson with her boobs bouncing out of her dress.

There is nothing 'wrong' with a really good plastic recorder except that it will never have the complex tone colour of a wooden one. I play wooden instruments 95% of the time, but I also have a 40-year-old Aulos B300 which due to the curved windway sounds as close to a wooden horn as any plastic one I've ever heard. So, no, the plastic recorder isn't the problem with this video.

The problem is (1) a boring composition, and (2) a half-naked dork who thinks he's Rudolph Valentino with a flute.
