Recording A Song For Fallen Soldier Chris Mason (Day 1)

PLEASE READ!!

Chris Mason was ambushed and killed in Iraq in November 2006 by Al-Qaeda terrorist while he was moving into position to provide fire support for his fellow paratroopers.

Chris was an amazing soldier, son, brother and friend. Chris' dad, Garland Mason asked me (Joe Monto) if I would write a song for Chris. I didn't have to think about it - the answer was an immediate YES. Not only did I want to write a song about Chris, I wanted to have it professionally recorded. I contacted my good friend and Seattle producer, Brandon Bee.

Although I did not personally know Chris, I feel as if God has connected our hearts together for this purpose.

We started recording today (Day 1). Garland gets credit for helping with the incredible lyrics. This song will soon be released!! Keep checking back.

This July, Sean Hannity is putting together a concert series called Summer "Freedom" tour with Lee Ann Rimes and other artists and all proceeds go to the children of the incredible Military men and women.
