You cannot honestly believe that the government is going to bring down healthcare premiums. Tell me, would you take on an unlimited obligation for a limited payment?
-
Sorry if I'm reposting this, but my previous comment with a link to the bill isn't showing for some reason.
Why are we setting the deductible limit at $2,000 for the minimum acceptable plan? The higher deductible plans will still cover against $5M surgeries and they cost far less.
To bring down costs, we need to get more uninsured people into high deductible plans and provide incentives.

BS. The reform is designed to lower health care premiums for the people who are currently paying them. It may have unintended consequences, but arguing that this is some huge conspiracy puts you in the same league as the Birthers.
-
Well, it looks like we're going to have one after all
-
Again, you are focused on insurance, not healthcare. They are not the same thing. It is the cost of healthcare that drives up the price of health insurance.
-
I was referring to THIS reform that the President is proposing. It will eliminate private insurance for most people in time. That is exactly what it is designed to do.
-
Did you know that health ins. was once non profit? That's when everyone could afford it. The bottom line here is that is immoral to deny any healthcare
-
Look you've lost this argument. Looks like we're going to get the public option also. So don't worry you'll be fine.
-
Hey I can't get into see my doctor now. What this is is Medicare for all, Go right ahead a keep your high priced insurance who will dump you the mniute you get sick
-
Even if we outlaw discriminating against pre-existing conditions, that doesn't eliminate washout periods. Pregnancies will still uncovered, even with this change.
Pregnancy is an expensive condition to cover. Why shouldn't insurers exclude prenatal care for 9 months after a new policy is issued? On the flip side, why would anyone carry insurance when they aren't pregnant or sick?

The only reason that President Obama has ever deviated from the plan that he wants is because he's trying to work with the republicants, which is a waste of time. The republicants are bought and paid for. They will fight for the benefit of the insurance lobbiest that pay them and against anything that President Obama wants to do without thought or reason. The republicants appeal to the ignorant by spreading hate and content for the government. The only way to beat them is to educate the ignorant
