Just another installment in my series about emergency communications. These are pretty neat little radios, price is right, and fairly versitle. Defenitly get my 2 thumbs up. Im in no way a communications expert, so this is just my review from a consumer perspective. These offer some complex features that arent available on other radios like the use of repeaters, but they are fairly simple to operate.

  • How does the repeater feature work? Do I just tune into channel 19 for my area and start transmitting, or are their steps that I have to preform on my MR350 to be able to use the repeater? ( I'm in range of the "Greater Hartford GMRS" repeater)

  • @Seattlekid8 you will need to check and see if the repeater is "open" or if you need to be a member, most repeaters require that you have a GMRS license. The repeater channels on the radio are marked with an "R", like channel 15 is no repeater, channel 15R is the repeater channel.

  • nice review. one question Do those take normal batteries as well?

  • @wolverineX173 Yes sir, it was one of the major selling points for me, its takes AA bat's if the rechargable ones die in the field
