@thgirwjt Actually, the gun should've fallen faster because it would've been more aerodynamic than two people strapped to chairs falling straight down. Weight has nothing to do with the speed they're falling. If you had two identically-shaped objects with drastically different weights, they'd fall at the same speed. But a piece of construction paper will glide to the ground, while a tiny pebble with the same weight will fall straight down.

@ilikeblondie things only fall at the same speed when they're in a vacuum. the reason why the gun would have flown up is because of friction caused by air, which makes lighter things tend to fall at slower speeds in our atmosphere.
