If that digital distortion you're talking about sounds like really light rainfall, then my ax720 (old version 5.1) does the same thing. I thought it was my new x-fi titanium soundcard causing it, but if it's the headset then they are going back to the store :(

I have turtle beach px21's.......I warn every prospecting buyer of a turtle beach gaming headset do not!!! They have very good sound quality but they are made very shitty! They will fall apart in around 2 months of fairly regular use. Also when i opened the left ear speaker i saw that the wires were not in the protective rubber casing!

I just bought the TPros and they are beautiful... no hissing anymore and they put the mic from the 720s in here... Best so far....
