Milwaukee Art Museum (MAM) Wings Closing

The Milwaukee Art Museum (MAM) is one of the most captivating contemporary buildings I ever visited. With this building, the boundaries between architecture, sculpture and motion have simply disappeared. I believe this high speed video captures the museum as "art and architecture in motion".

@belilav maybe for showstopper pieces, but there's nothing in america that's any worse than 95% of the stuff built in china and just as much in europe.

@Sheboobellach america is acctually in profesional circles quite low ranked - with its generic and inimaginitive architecture, or pop bulshit. so in fact - most good architecture is not being done in america, just as well as most dubai architecture is quite bad in terms of art quality

Like everything else from 2001 this was overshadowed by 9/11 so unfortunately a lot of people aren't aware this even exists. America is still a leader in cutting edge architecture, it's too bad that it isn't more widely appreciated. It's too bad it isn't talked about with even half the interest paid on the most asinine things that pass for news these days. Absolutely beautiful building.

I had no idea that there's such a thing...Indeed there are no boundaries between arts on Milwaukee Art Museum...five out of five
