@Lauratkd1 She only knew the Bakers. It's not fair to the biological parents because the are strangers

@judy4justice We are viewing this with you north american culture system is other culture being raise by your extented family is perfectly normal part of their value system
-
@anglinthemtns the Bakers are typical evil and selfish exploitative americans who throw their weight around and TRICKED the chinese immigrant parents of Ana Mae (the Hes) into signing for temporary custody of the 4-month old infant pretending to be Christians (unholy though) while they were still starting out in America as young unmarried couple

Why would these bio parents want to get their child back just to send her off to be raised by relatives in a country she knew nothing about? Why weren't they going to raise her themselves, and why did they really give her up to begin with? I think they just wanted media attention, and didn't really love the child or they would have wanted her with them, not with relatives.

Why do posters feel the need to tell the ending of a story on part 1?? It spoils it for the rest of us, so thanks!

@Lauratkd1 It would have been biased because she only knew the Bakers.
Its very sad the Baker's got her for so long. The State judge made a terrible mistake & was a racists bastard against the Hes. Its terrible that this continues to happen & to Native American children all the time. The Baker's brainwashed & showered material goods onto Anna Mae promoting the friendship bond between their daughter & Anna Mae. I'm glad the Hes got her back in the end & it was probably best for them to go back to China with her to give her back her true culture & identity.

Remember in The Simpsons Bart and Lisa are arguing about who Maggie loves the best out of the 2 of them. In the end Maggie couldn't decide and she picked the TV because she loves that the most.
Why don't they ask Anna May He where she wants to go? It will be completely her decision and once she picks, her decision is final. It wouldn't have been easier then going through court, etc
